PHILOSOPHY & APPROACH
“Ten time a day something happens to me like this – some strengthening throb of amazement
– some good sweet empathic ping and swell. This is the first, the wildest and wisest thing I know:
that the soul exists and is built entirely out of attentiveness.” ~ Mary Oliver
My photography philosophy is my life philosophy – to pay attention. For me this means creating rhythms and space
to notice the ‘every little wonders’ of life. Paying attention has helped me notice that entering into real moments
(whether quiet, loud, joyful, painful, obscure, mundane or monumental) can bring healing, wholeness and beauty to life.
Photography is one way I attempt to convey what I see as I strive to live this attentive life.
I am drawn to lovely light and real emotion.
I find inspiration from nature, other creative people and spirituality.
I like discovering beautiful backdrops, placing people in the midst of them and then seeing what will happen.
I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel free to be themselves.
I want your family and friends to say “these photos capture you perfectly!”
I’m a planner who embraces spontaneity.
I love sunrises and sunsets.
